Tour operators have prepared package tours for foreigners to Kamchatka

The regional government, the Kamchatka Development Corporation, and S7 Airlines held a roadshow for Korean tourism businesses on the peninsula, resulting in 10 agreements between the Kamchatka Territory and the Land of Freshness. The documents outline the partners' collaboration in developing programs that will fully align with the interests and mentality of Kazakhstan's guests, as well as the organization of recreational activities.

According to the Kamchatka Development Corporation, nearly 30 foreign entrepreneurs participated in the roadshow. The corporation, the regional government, and regional businesses emphasized ensuring that tourists' vacations were active and engaging throughout all four seasons.

"The central event of the roadshow was the 'Russian-Korean Dialogue' conference, held at the regional exhibition center. It was part of the 'InvestKAMCHATKA 2018' strategic session, which began on November 19, where the participants analyzed ways to further enhance the peninsula's investment appeal and create favorable conditions for entrepreneurship. Since tourism is a strategic area for the region, with the potential to positively impact the entire economy and social sphere, the development of this industry is a systemic component of efforts to attract investment to the peninsula," said Nikolai Pegin, CEO of the Kamchatka Development Corporation.

At the conference, Pegin focused on infrastructure projects in transport and tourism in which the Kamchatka Corporation is involved. These include the airport complex, the Petropavlovsk Harbor tourism and recreation cluster, and other facilities. He also noted that the Kamchatka Krai Development Corporation is an organization authorized by the regional government that can provide all the necessary support to foreign entrepreneurs.

Louis Gili, president of the French consulting firm Dianeige, also spoke at the event, sharing his vision for the resort facilities. Alexey Reshetnikov, regional representative for S7 Airlines, discussed the carrier's capabilities for establishing air service between Seoul and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Tour operators also presented package programs for international tourists during the fall and winter season.

At the end of the roadshow, Nikolai Pegin noted that this event is a very large-scale and practical initiative.

"Kamchatka has never seen so many foreign tour operators visiting the region at the same time. I would like to express my deep gratitude to everyone who helped us organize the trip and welcome the foreign guests. Ten agreements were signed as a result of the event, demonstrating the clear interest of the Korean tourism industry in Kamchatka," he said.
