During the 2019 holiday season, Simferopol International Airport received and dispatched 676 charter flights, carrying 195,600 passengers to and from Crimea. Compared to 2018, the number of passengers carried on charter flights increased by 301,300. The figures were record-breaking in the modern history of Simferopol airport.

As the airport's press service told TRN, in 2019, the charter program at Simferopol Airport was significantly expanded. While last season, such flights operated from July to the end of August, this year they were operated from April to the end of September. The charter flights were operated by Rossiya Airlines for the tour operator Biblio-Globus.
The largest number of charter flights to Crimea in 2019 departed from Vnukovo Airport (Moscow) and Pulkovo Airport (St. Petersburg). Charter flights also departed from Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.
It's worth noting that this year, Simferopol Airport implemented a special service procedure for charter flight passengers for the first time. They were screened and checked in separately from the main passenger flow, with additional check-in counters and security screening facilities provided for this purpose. A workstation was set up in the airport control room for a representative of the tour operator Biblio-Globus, which handled charter flights. This ensured the most convenient airport experience for tourists.
