Aeroflot and JAL sign codeshare agreement on joint flights between Russia and Japan

Aeroflot and JAL have signed a codeshare agreement for joint flights between Russia and Japan. This agreement will allow the companies to sell tickets for each other's flights within Japan and Russia, according to Travel.ru.

Aeroflot's SU code will be used on JAL flights from Moscow to Tokyo, as well as on JAL flights from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Okayama, Okinawa, Kagoshima, and Kumamoto. The JAL code will appear on Aeroflot flights from Moscow to Tokyo (and subsequently to Osaka), as well as on domestic flights from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Perm, Krasnodar, and Kazan.

The agreement is valid for flights from March 29 (ticket sales will open in early March). The number of jointly operated routes is expected to expand in the future.
