Aeroflot will maintain its own flights to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and replace the aircraft on the route to Vladivostok.

Aeroflot Group has decided not to cancel its own flights from Moscow to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Daily flight SU1730 has been reinstated to the winter schedule. Rossiya Airlines' subsidiary flights on this route are now scheduled twice a week, and only until January 12, reports Travel.ru's own correspondent.

Admittedly, this all seems rather unusual at the moment. As a reminder, according to the original plan, Aeroflot was only going to operate the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky route until December 9th using an Airbus A330, and from December 10th, it was supposed to be replaced by Rossiya's Boeing 777. The current schedule retains the December 10th replacement with the more capacious Boeing 777, but it is now listed as an Aeroflot-owned flight. Fares for this flight remain standard for Aeroflot, both before and after this change: 15,000 rubles one-way and 25,000 rubles roundtrip in economy class, starting from 40,422 rubles one-way in premium economy class (starting December 10th), and from 90,222 rubles in business class. This flight departs Sheremetyevo at 5:00 PM, and returns from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at 1:25 PM.

Rossiya Airlines' additional Boeing 777 flights will operate from October 30 to January 12 on Tuesdays and Fridays only. Departures will be at 7:40 PM from Sheremetyevo and at 4:00 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Until October 27, these flights will operate from Vnukovo. Tickets are priced at 13,200 rubles one-way and 22,000 rubles round-trip, with business class starting at 57,822 rubles one-way.

As a reminder, the plan to transfer Rossiya Airlines' Far East flights to Sheremetyevo and transfer most of Aeroflot's Far East flights to Sheremetyevo was discovered by Travel.ru in late August. This sparked a wave of discontent in the Far East, and after intervention from local and federal authorities, Aeroflot adjusted its plan. Among other things, the price increase for Rossiya-operated flights to Aeroflot levels was cancelled. Aeroflot's own flight has now returned to Kamchatka. Furthermore, one of Aeroflot's own flights to Vladivostok will be operated on a Boeing 777 instead of the previously planned Airbus A330.
