Aeroflot Closes Access to Business Lounges in Irkutsk, Novokuznetsk, and Yakutsk

From December 25, Aeroflot Airlines will stop serving passengers in business lounges at the airports of Irkutsk, Novokuznetsk and Yakutsk

"The change will affect all passengers traveling on the airline's flights. This is a forced decision due to economic feasibility. At present, the cost of passenger services in the business lounges of these airports is several times higher than the cost of similar services in other major airports in the country. At the same time, the proposed tariffs do not correspond to the quality of services provided to passengers, which is confirmed by surveys conducted," the carrier's press service reported.

It is noted that as compensation for the inability to use business lounges, the airline will credit Aeroflot Bonus Platinum, Gold and Silver members traveling in business class with 3,000 miles and a voucher (MCO) in the amount of 2 thousand rubles, which can be spent on purchasing an air ticket or paying for additional services on Aeroflot flights.

“Platinum and Gold level passengers traveling in economy class will be credited with 3,000 miles, while other business class passengers who are not members of the Aeroflot Bonus program will receive MSO vouchers for 2,000 rubles,” the statement said.
