French airline Aigle Azur appears to have finally abandoned its planned summer increase in flight frequency from Paris to Moscow. Instead of the previously planned five weekly flights, it is now selling only two, reports Travel.ru.
The schedule still includes departures from Paris at 10:00 PM on Fridays and Sundays (arrival in Moscow (Domodedovo Airport) at 2:45 AM). Return departures are at 4:00 AM on Mondays and Saturdays, arriving in Paris at 7:00 AM.
The reasons for the cuts are unclear. Two weeks ago, the company ran a discount promotion, selling round-trip tickets starting at €144, suggesting low demand. Meanwhile, in letters sent to passengers on cancelled flights, the carrier cited a decision by Russian aviation authorities.
