Using the data obtained, we determined the busiest days of the week, that is, the days with the most travelers departs from train stations and airports. Passengers from all Russian cities with railway train stations and airports.
As the company told TRN, the busiest days for airports are Friday and Sunday. A third of all passengers traveling anywhere during the week depart on these two days. Less popular days for travel are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The busiest day of the week at railway stations is Sunday, with 161,300 passengers departing. Friday and Saturday are slightly less busy days.
As expected, the busiest days at train stations and airports are weekends. But there are nuances. Airline passengers prefer flying on Fridays to Saturdays. And they enjoy flying on Saturdays just as much as on Mondays. Those who choose the train don't particularly like weekdays (except Fridays).
Tuesday turned out to be the least crowded day. Those who don't like crowds should pay attention.
Tutu.ru previously asked travelers what time of day they prefer to fly. The survey showed that passengers prioritize flight cost over departure time. Evening flights, regardless of cost, are their favorite time to fly. Nighttime flights are second, and daytime flights are third. Evening flights are the least popular time of day, with only 2%.
