
The popular tourist fortress of Montjuïc (Castell de Montjuïc), located on the hill of the same name in Barcelona, has opened to visitors part of the area where excavations were carried out from 2010 to 2017. Montjuïc Fortress attracts many foreigners (83,8% visitors). It can be reached via the park-like paths on Montjuïc Hill or by funicular, and the fortress offers stunning views of the Catalan capital. The castle houses an exhibition, a military history museum, and even a children's area.
