The new season of the STS TV channel premiered the comedy series "Kitchen. War for the Hotel," filmed at the Krasnaya Polyana Resort. The general producers of the television project are Vyacheslav Murugov, Fyodor Bondarchuk, and Anton Fedotov, and the list includes actors - Dmitry Nagiyev, Dmitry Nazarov, Elena Ksenofontova, Grigory Siyatvinda and others.
According to the plot, after suffering a fiasco in the hotel business and bidding farewell to the Eleon Hotel, Eleonora retreats to Tuscany. Everything changes when her ex-fiancé, Dmitry Nagiyev, who is responsible for her bankruptcy, begins construction on the grandiose Kurortishche complex in Sochi. Seeking revenge on the showman for all the wrongs he has done, Eleonora buys the hotel Nagiyev has his eye on and hires her ex-husband, chef Viktor Barinov, their daughter Katya, and manager Mikhail Dzhekovich. Together, they artificially inflate the prestige and luxury of the new hotel, lure superstars, and do everything they can to conceal the establishment's unprofitability. All this is done to restore Eleonora to the ranks of top hoteliers and sell the hotel they bought for next to nothing to Nagiyev for a large sum of money.
Filming for the series took place at the resort's Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone, at Polyana 540 and Polyana 960, where the facades of the New Eleon Hotel and Casino were located. Two trucks carrying equipment, sets, props, and costumes—each with a capacity of 86 cubic meters—were transported from Moscow to Krasnaya Polyana for the construction. The script also includes Polyana 2200, the Cirque-2 mountain valley, the Akhshtyr Gorge, the Aibga Ridge, the Psakho mountain canyon, the Mzymta River, mountain serpentines, and other spectacular natural landmarks of Krasnaya Polyana.
The lead actors stayed within walking distance of the filming location at Polyana 960, at the five-star Novotel Resort and Rixos hotels. Thanks to the hotels' proximity to the resort's main cable car, the actors had the chance to experience Krasnaya Polyana as real guests and ride the cable car to the mountain peaks. Elena Ksenofontova, who plays Eleonora Andreyevna, explored the surrounding area, visiting the Gorky Fly amusement park at over 2,200 meters above sea level and riding the longest zipline in Russia at 80 km/h. The actress's impressions can be attributed to the invitation to watch the series: "Krasnaya Polyana is wonderful! This kind of scenery will only add charm, flavor, and new colors to our project."
