Moscow's Domodedovo Airport handled approximately 8,000 flights during the holiday weekend. From December 28 to January 9, 1,045,084 passengers traveled through the airport.

On international air routes, passenger traffic amounted to 440,421 people. There's a trend of increasing traffic to non-CIS countries. During the holiday weekend, it grew by 11% compared to the same period last year. Dubai remains the undisputed leader among the most popular international routes: over 35,000 people chose Domodedovo Airport for travel to and from the UAE's largest city during the New Year holidays. Munich and Verona were also among the most popular international routes.
604,663 people chose the airport for travel within Russia. As always, the most popular destinations were Simferopol, St. Petersburg, and Sochi.
The highest passenger flow was recorded on January 6: on this day, Domodedovo Airport served approximately 90,000 people.
