Grace Bay Beach in the Turks and Caicos Islands scored 10 out of 10 in FlightNetwork's Canadian ranking of the world's best beaches for its beauty, sand and water quality, and remoteness.
Tucked away in the Caribbean, with crystal clear waters, the most Soft white sand, Grace Bay Beach was named the best beach in the world by a poll of 632 travel journalists and other FlightNetwork experts.
"This beach is a dream come true for lovers. The sand here is more like white powder, it borders the turquoise ocean, and all this can be seen in privacy," says Fred Mawer, an expert from Telegraph Travel magazine.
Australia's Whitehaven Beach, on the Whitsunday Islands (which is part of the Great Barrier Reef), came in second; Anse Lazio in the Seychelles came in third.
Navagio Beach on the coast of Zakynthos, better known as Shipwreck Beach, took fifth place and was the only European beach in the top 10.
Baia Dos Porcos in the Brazilian archipelago of Fernando de Noronha has been named the best beach in South America.
