Experts from the travel service Tutu.ru analyzed all train tickets issued since the beginning of the year and found the most expensive bookings. The selection included trips both within Russia and abroad, primarily in luxury carriages. Interestingly, the average age of passengers... A 48-year-old man who enjoys comfortable train travel. However, the ranking did not include identical routes.

Statistics show that passengers prefer to travel in comfort over long distances (within Russia – to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, and abroad – to European cities).
As the company's press service told TRN, the top twenty most expensive train trips were topped by a trip by four foreign pensioners from Irkutsk to Moscow (on the Rossiya train, from Vladivostok to Moscow). They spent several days en route and spent almost 143,000 rubles on the trip. This trip took place on the last day of May. The second-most expensive trip by the same group (two of the four) was from Vladivostok to Irkutsk. In other words, the tourists traveled from Vladivostok to Irkutsk, enjoyed the natural beauty for five days, and then departed for Moscow at the end of May.
The third most expensive route was Moscow-Vladivostok. A foreign couple paid almost 90,000 rubles for two tickets. A couple's Moscow-Khabarovsk trip was slightly cheaper (85,000 rubles).
Solo travelers also made the list. A traveler from Moscow traveled to Paris for 73,000 rubles. To travel alone in a luxury suite, she purchased two tickets for herself. Two other passengers also made the same purchase: one was traveling from Angarsk to the Russian capital, and the other from Novosibirsk to Moscow.
The most expensive ticket abroad was bought to Nice (about 40 thousand rubles per ticket).
