How Russians will relax in 2019: a calendar of holidays

The schedule of holidays and days off in Russia for 2019 has been approved by the Tripartite Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labor Relations. According to the approved draft, Russians will have additional non-working days in May next year.

According to Interfax, citing the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the holidays of January 5 and 6 have been moved to May 2 and 3, and the day off from Saturday, February 23, has been moved to Friday, May 10.

Thus, Russians will have holidays from December 30, 2018 to January 8, 2019 (New Year and Christmas holidays), from February 23 to 24 (in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day); from March 8 to 10 (in honor of International Women's Day); from May 1 to 5 (in honor of Spring and Labor Day) and from May 9 to 12 (in honor of Victory Day); June 12 (Russia Day) and from November 2 to 4 (in honor of National Unity Day).
