Oktoberfest in Munich begins on September 22.

The traditional Oktoberfest, the largest beer festival in the world, will be held in Munich from September 22 to October 7. Every year, Germany's most renowned breweries showcase their products at the festival.

A total of 16 large tents and 22 small ones will be located on the Oktoberfest grounds, according to Travel.ru's own correspondent. The tents, the largest of which can accommodate over 8,000 people, are already awaiting visitors. Hundreds of thousands of foreign tourists come to Munich to participate in the festival. Many purchase traditional Bavarian clothing and participate in the costume parade.

Every year, Oktoberfest welcomes more than 6 million guests who drink 7 million liters of beer.

Beer tents remain open until 12:30 AM, but beverages are sold from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Festivalgoers can expect a variety of outdoor entertainment, live music, and souvenir shops.

A reinforced police presence ensures security at the event, which traditionally features heavy alcohol consumption. Anti-terrorism measures have also been taken: large backpacks and bags will be stored in storage lockers, and access to the tents is through guarded entrances.
