On January 4, the all-season Gorki Gorod resort celebrates its fifth anniversary. Exactly five years ago, just over a month before the Olympics, the Gorki Gorod resort opened its doors, the company's press service told TRN.
Construction of a resort The project began in 2010. According to the project's creators, the sports and cultural center of the Olympic Games mountain cluster was to be established here, in the foothills of the Main Caucasus Range, in Krasnaya Polyana. During the Olympics, media representatives lived and worked here, covering events such as skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh, freestyle skiing, and ski jumping.
The total area of the resort: 863.7 hectares at elevations from +540 m to +2375 m above sea level.
In winter and summer, Gorki Gorod offers ski and bike trails, cable cars, excursion routes and trails in the highlands, and a private beach on the Black Sea. It also boasts a casino, a shopping and entertainment center, a water park with a sandy beach, cafes, bars, and restaurants. The resort's hotels have been recognized as the best by the most prestigious professional ratings.
The high level of service, architectural sophistication, and picturesque landscapes of the nature reserve attract hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world to the resort every year.
On January 4, the Gorki Gorod resort celebrates its birthday and invites everyone to join in. The evening will be hosted by Sergey Sgibnev, the official host of FC Krasnodar, and the Muzykalny Kvartal show group will perform. At an altitude of 960 meters above sea level, an ice sculpture in the shape of the Gorki Gorod resort logo will be carved from a block of ice, and the celebration will conclude with an LED and pyrotechnic show.
