Accommodation booking service Tvil.ru has identified the most popular Russian cities for family travel and sightseeing vacations in the second half of summer.
The rating is based on hotel and apartment bookings made by tourists from July 15 to August 31, 2018.
The top ten Russian cities popular for family travel with children on summer weekends this year include: St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Yaroslavl, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Petrozavodsk, Voronezh, and Novosibirsk.
According to Tvil.ru, tourists book summer weekend trips with children for periods of 2 to 5 nights and spend between 1,800 and 3,200 rubles per night per family on accommodation.
The cheapest ones are in Rostov-on-Don (less than 2 thousand rubles), the most expensive ones are in Moscow (more than 3 thousand rubles).
