The American Bar, located in the luxurious Savoy Hotel in central London, was named the world's best bar by The World's 50 Best Bars this year. This Strand establishment has been mixing cocktails for over 125 years.
Second place in 2017 went to another London bar, Dandelyan, located in the Mondrian Hotel, Lenta.ru reports. Third place went to The Nomad, located in New York City.
Interestingly, two more London bars (Connaught Bar and Bar Termini) and two New York bars (The Dead Rabbit and Attaboy) made it into the top ten, thus defining the bar capitals of two continents. Also in the top 10 were establishments from Athens (The Clumsies), Singapore (Manhattan Bar), and Shanghai (Speak Low Bar).
