The booking service Tvil.ru conducted a study to determine the cities tourists choose for Russia Day on June 12.
The TOP-10 most popular cities for tourists to travel to on Russia Day include: St. Petersburg, Kazan, Moscow, Krasnodar, Petrozavodsk, Vologda, Suzdal, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Volgograd.
According to the service, travelers typically book trips to these cities for periods of 1 to 12 days and spend between 1,000 and 4,000 rubles per day on accommodation.
The cheapest vacation for tourists is in Lipetsk (1,000 rubles/2 nights), while Petrozavodsk is more expensive (4,000 rubles/6.7 nights). The longest vacation (12 nights) is in Krasnodar (1,700 rubles/12 nights).
