According to the Thai Ministry of Health, there is currently an unfavorable situation associated with the spread of Dengue fever in certain regions of the Kingdom, including resort areas in the south of the country, the embassy reports. RF in Thailand.

"Since the beginning of 2018, about 57 thousand people have fallen ill in the Kingdom, of whom more than 70 have died from a severe form of the disease. According to local authorities, these incidence rates are only slightly higher than the figures for previous years, typical for this time of year," the department clarified.

The Thai Ministry of Health recommends using mosquito repellents and wearing clothes that cover your arms and legs. If the first symptoms appear (a sharp increase in body temperature to 39 degrees and above, chills, severe headaches and muscle pain, pain in the bones and joints, upset stomach and intestines, skin rash), it is recommended to contact local medical institutions and not self-medicate.

The sanitary and epidemiological situation in most parts of Thailand remains calm. It is expected that with the onset of the cool dry season (from November to March), the situation with dengue fever will completely normalize.
