The first excursions will take place this coming Sunday, June 9. The Kamchatka Krai Agency for Tourism and External Relations, in collaboration with the region's travel agencies, is organizing these free tours for select groups.

"These tours "These social tours are not just a purely social project. They are one of the region's best practices—an effective measure of financial state support for regional tour operators aimed at developing tourism in Kamchatka Krai. "The subsidy reimburses travel companies for 90% of their actual costs," noted Alexey Voitov, Vice Governor of Kamchatka Krai. "This year, nearly 4.5 million rubles have been allocated from the regional budget for organizing social tours. Subsidies have been provided to seven travel companies that will provide excursion services."
As reported to TRN by the regional government press service, during the summer, participants in the social tours will travel to Avacha, Mutnovsky, and Gorely volcanoes, visit the Dachnye hot thermal springs, and the "Snezhnye Psy" sled dog kennel. The program also includes boat cruises along Avacha Bay, horseback riding and hiking tours, and helicopter excursions along the following routes: "Timonovskie Hot Springs"; "Khodutkinskie Hot Springs"; "Mutnovsky Volcano Flight - Gorely Volcano Flight - Ksudach Volcano Caldera Tour - Khodutkinskie Hot Springs."
As a reminder, social tours have been offered in the region since 2010. These excursions are organized for schoolchildren and students who have won academic competitions, contests, and sporting events, creative youth, orphans and children left without parental care, individuals with disabilities, large families, WWII and combat veterans, and other categories of citizens. Over the past three years, 2,538 people have participated in these social tours, with over 14 million rubles allocated for these purposes.
