The sale of a stake in Vnukovo Airport to Qatar Airways may close at the end of 2019, according to Vitaly Vantsev, chairman of the board of directors and co-owner of Vnukovo, according to Rossiya 24.

“We are working hard and productively with Qatar Airways, "We've already undergone several audits, and we're currently undergoing further audits—both technical and financial. And we're confident that we'll finalize our deal with Qatar Airways next year, most likely by the end of next year," noted Vitaly Vantsev.
As a reminder, in March of this year, Qatar Airways expressed interest in purchasing the 25% portion of Vnukovo Airport. In April, the two companies signed an agreement, which allows the asset valuation process to begin.
According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, this transaction requires the filing of a petition, which is then submitted to a meeting of the government commission on foreign investment.
Currently, 25% of Vnukovo International Airport belongs to the Federal Property Management Agency, 34.1% to the Vnukovo Alliance company.
