Russian Railways is offering discounted upper-berth tickets on train #143/144 from Kursk to Kislovodsk. The promotion runs until March 4, according to Travel.ru.
A full-trip ticket or one from Kursk to Rostov-on-Don costs 1,699 rubles, while a ticket from Rostov to Kislovodsk or Voronezh costs 1,200 rubles. Tickets are on sale until March 4 for trips through March 31. The promotion also applies to shorter routes on this route.
Train #143/144 had been running on the Moscow-Kislovodsk route for many years, but in December it was unexpectedly rerouted to Kursk instead of the capital. This led to a significant drop in demand for travel on this train.
