Russia ranked fifth in tourist traffic to Monaco in 2018, with nearly 50,000 Russian tourists visiting the country. This was reported by the press service of the country's tourism office, Visit Monaco.
“Russia is among the top five countries in terms of tourist flow to the Principality of Monaco, "At the end of 2018, 49,400 tourists visited the country. According to the statistics department of the Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority, the number of nights booked by Russian travelers in the fourth quarter of last year was 5,970, which is 131,000 more than in the same period in 2017," the press service reported, according to Interfax.
According to the department, Russian tourists primarily visited Monaco last year during the summer season. During this period alone, 25,800 Russians visited the country.
According to overall data, 919,800 foreign travelers visited Monaco last year. French tourists led the rankings with 164,500, while Italian travelers came in second with 107,950.
