The Federal Tourism Agency and the Turpomoshch Association have jointly developed regulations for interaction with government agencies in emergency situations involving the evacuation of Russian tourists from abroad, said Rostourism Director Zarina. Doguzova at the general meeting of members of the association "Association of tour operators in the field of outbound tourism "Turpomoshch".
"Rostourism, together with Turpomoshch, the tourism industry, and experts, has developed for the first time and is currently coordinating interdepartmental regulations for interaction between Rostourism and government agencies, including the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Air Transport Agency, Rospotrebnadzor, the Bank of Russia, and Turpomoshch," she said, according to Interfax.
The head of the department also noted that the main goal of this regulation is to coordinate and interrelate the actions of federal executive bodies in the areas of tourism, transport, and consumer protection in order to improve the efficiency and speed of response in emergency situations related to the evacuation of tourists.
"It must be finalized by the upcoming resort season. The new regulation includes an algorithm that will not only allow for emergency assistance to tourists but also prevent the very possibility of emergency situations for tour operators," the head of the department added.
