The Federal Air Transport Agency reports that Russian air carriers are having problems obtaining slots at airports in the People's Republic of China and that it is taking a long time to obtain accreditation to begin operating flights to destinations on the territory of China.
“In connection with this information, in order to avoid emergency situations related to the cancellation or postponement of the start date of flights, and in order to prevent violations of tourists’ rights, the Federal Tourism Agency strongly urges tour operators selling tours to China to eliminate the practice of selling tickets for regular and charter flights to cities in the PRC without the air carriers with which they have contractual relations having all the necessary permits from the aviation authorities of the People’s Republic of China and confirmation of slots at destination airports,” Rostourism notes.
