Sheremetyevo has resolved the issue of Chinese language on its boards.

Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport has modernized the information boards in its terminals. The information is now much better organized and more clearly displayed, and most importantly, you no longer have to wait while the board displays a Chinese version, reports Travel.ru's own correspondent.

Sheremetyevo's public area boards are now divided by departure time, making it much easier to find your flight. Furthermore, each flight now has two dedicated lines, solving several problems.

Firstly, the problem of displaying codeshare flights has been eliminated. Previously, many flights took up three or four lines on the board due to multiple codes from different airlines and different flight numbers. Now, all such numbers are simply listed on the second line.

Secondly, the language issue has been resolved. As a reminder, about a year ago, Sheremetyevo's flight information boards were updated to include Chinese due to the large number of Chinese-speaking passengers. As a result, passengers sometimes had to wait 20-30 seconds for the board to revert to the Russian or English version. In the new version, the Russian version is displayed continuously, while the English and Chinese versions alternate in the adjacent column or second row. Now, Russian-speaking passengers always have flight information at their fingertips, while the wait time for English- and Chinese-speaking passengers to access their own version has been halved.

Among the remaining minor flaws, one can note the not entirely correct English translation of the phrase "Boarding is over." At Sheremetyevo, it is translated as "End of boarding" instead of the more correct "Boarding completed" or "Gate closed."
