Russian Railways is running a discount promotion on the Moscow-Helsinki route. Discounts are available on train #31/32 "Lev Tolstoy" from Moscow to Helsinki until October 23rd, according to Travel.ru.
Current rates for a compartment are: 5,243 rubles when purchased no more than 13 days before departure; 4,494 rubles for 14-29 days; 3,745 rubles for 30-44 days; and 2,995 rubles for 45 or more days. Prices for a sleeping car are one and a half times higher.
Ruble fares may vary slightly depending on the euro exchange rate. Please note that return discounts from Helsinki are only valid for departures from October 22nd. When purchasing tickets from Helsinki, the Russian Railways website may initially show a price of 0 rubles; the actual fare will only appear during the checkout process.
