Travel service OneTwoTrip analyzed air tickets issued from Russian cities since the beginning of 2019 and selected those that allow passengers to travel in time. This means not only saving time due to time zone differences, but also arriving at their destination before the plane. took off from the departure airport (we are talking about comparing local time).

In total, the service's analysts managed to find several dozen similar scheduled flights. The absolute record-breaker was a Yakutia Airlines flight from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Anchorage (USA). Its passengers spend 4 hours and 10 minutes in the air, but the return flight takes more than 15 hours. This is due to the plane's passage across the so-called International Date Line, which runs through the Pacific Ocean.
UVT Aero's flights from Perm to Kazan took second place in the ranking of unique flights. The flight between the cities takes one hour, and the time difference is two hours. Third place went to Ural Airlines' flights from Vladivostok to Harbin, China. The situation is similar. The time difference between the cities is two hours, but the flight time is 1 hour 5 minutes, taking passengers back in time by 55 minutes.
"Air travel today not only allows you to quickly and comfortably reach any point in the world, but also sometimes allows you to travel through time. Passengers on flights flying from east to west always encounter this issue due to time zone differences; it's nothing new. But flights arriving before departure are much more interesting, as there are tens of times fewer of them," comments Leonid Ryaboshtan, Head of Air Travel at OneTwoTrip.
