Russian Railways has introduced a special offer for travel on the double-decker train #23/24 between Moscow and St. Petersburg. A ticket for an upper berth in a compartment costs 999 rubles, reports Travel.ru.
Tickets are on sale until April 23, and travel is valid until the same date. The promotion does not apply to travel on holidays: February 22 and 25 and March 11 from Moscow, and February 23, 25, 26, and March 11 from St. Petersburg. Lower berths start at 1,239 rubles.
It's worth keeping in mind that fares for the other two double-decker trains (#5/6 and #25/26), which have more convenient departure times, don't vary much. Upper-berth tickets typically start at 1,099 rubles, while lower-berth tickets start at 1,542 rubles.
