TOP 10 Best Hiking Trails in the World

The ranking includes the best tourist walking routes in the world. According to CNN, the leading place in the list was taken by the Pennine Way in Great Britain, which is more than 450 km long.

 

 

Second place Camino de Santiago took the ranking de Compostela in Spain, otherwise known as the Way of St. James, it is the most popular modern route, which runs along the line of northern Spain from the French Pyrenees.

 

 

On third place The Appalachian Trail, located in the United States, is in the ranking. This trail is considered the longest hiking trail in the world, with a length of about 3.5 thousand km. It runs from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine.

 

 

IN top five included the Basho Trail in Japan and a one-day route in Argentina near the resort town of Bariloche. The Basho Trail starts in Sendai and runs through the northern Tohoku region, passing through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hiraizumi and along the ancient Dewa Kaido Trail with its beech and cherry tree forests, before heading into the Natagiri Mountains, while the area around Bariloche in Argentina's Lake District is home to some stunning walks.

 

 

On 6th line The top spot goes to Mount Toubkal in Morocco. It is the highest peak in North Africa at 4,167 meters (13,671 feet). As CNN notes, the hike to the top of Mount Toubkal is not for the faint of heart. The trail starts from the village of Imlil, passes through a dry river bed, then climbs steeply through the temple at Sidi Chamkharoche and heads to a large mountain hut.

 

 

Seventh position The Great Wall of China, Jinshan Section, topped the list. Situated 87 miles northeast of Beijing, this section offers a steep and winding section of the Great Wall.

 

 

On 8th place The Dragon's Back trail is located in Hong Kong. As you know, Hong Kong is famous for its tall skyscrapers and narrow streets, but the mainland and islands have numerous hiking trails, one of the most famous of which is the Dragon's Back.

 

 

The TOP 10 best trails in the world are rounded out by the Dingle Way in Ireland and the Tergo La Trek in Bhutan.
