Oman Air may deploy Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Muscat-Moscow route

Oman Air is planning to replace its aircraft on the Muscat-Oman route with a more comfortable and spacious one in the coming winter season. For now, the carrier has replaced the Boeing 737 Max 8 that was previously flying on this route with the previous version, the Boeing 737-800, on March 13, Travel.ru's own correspondent reports.

— Our flight is currently full, — said Oman Air representative in Russia Yulia Vorotnikova. — At the same time, about 20% passengers are sent to Muscat itself, and the remaining 80% transfer there to our other flights. We would like to achieve a roughly equal ratio, and probably as the tourist flow to Oman grows, we will need a larger plane. We also plan to improve the offer of a stopover for several days in Muscat — it is currently unavailable to passengers at the lowest rates.

Presumably, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be supplied to the Moscow flight in case of an increase in passenger traffic. Another solution could be to increase the number of flights on a narrow-body fleet. Oman Air has been flying to Moscow daily since last autumn, and daily flights are also planned for the summer.
