In 2020, construction of a yacht tourism center will begin in Balaklava

Construction of a yacht tourism center in Balaklava will begin in 2020, and the project will be developed throughout 2019 by Stroygazmontazh, the general contractor for the Crimean Bridge construction. This was announced by Sevastopol Governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov.

As a reminder, in 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the development of proposals for Balaklava Bay. The project to build a yacht tourism center includes the construction of a yacht marina and the improvement of the embankments.

According to TASS, federal, regional, and private investments totaling 10 billion rubles by 2023 were attracted to implement this project.

"Construction is scheduled to begin in 2020. Design work took place throughout 2019. The contract was signed with Stroygazmontazh," noted Dmitry Ovsyannikov.

Deputy Governor Mikhail Demidenko announced plans to build a 600-berth yacht marina, a logistics center for yacht servicing, and a large pier for tourists.
