Barcelona to Host Large Exhibition on Game of Thrones

Filming for the sixth season of the hit series "Game of Thrones" took place partly in Catalonia, and now a large-scale exhibition dedicated to this iconic saga has arrived in Barcelona. "Game of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition" has opened at the Maritime Museum (Museu Marítim) in the Catalan capital.

Visitors to the exhibition will see a unique display of costumes and accessories from the series' characters, reports Spain in Russian. The thousand-square-meter exhibit is divided into several thematic zones: on display are the actual 28-kilogram suit of armor worn by actor Ian Beattie, who played Meryn Trant; costumes from Joffrey Baratheon's "Purple Wedding"; Cersei's dress during her punishment; Sandor Clegane's military gear; Melisandre's magical necklace; Brandon Stark's dagger; Jaime Lannister's golden hand; and many other exhibits.

The exhibition runs until January 7. More than 20,000 tickets have already been sold. Admission costs €10.
