In Madrid, tourists can rent electric scooters

Madrid has launched a new service that could be useful for tourists: electric scooter rentals. Now visitors to the Spanish capital can get around the city faster and see more sights in a shorter time.

As reported by Spain in Russian, the bright green Lime-S scooters operate in the same way as other rental vehicles: an app is installed on the user's phone, allowing them to find the nearest scooter, unlock it, and pay for it. The main advantage of this mode of transport is that it doesn't require parking in a designated area; it can simply be left anywhere in the city. Unlocking a scooter costs €1, and each minute of use costs 0.15 cents.

The Lime-S scooter has front and rear brakes, a central headlight, and a rear light. It has a top speed of 24 kilometers per hour, and a fully charged battery provides a range of up to 50 kilometers (the scooter's charge level is monitored via a mobile app).
