
On the evening of March 7, sixteen Moscow parks will host the "Night at the Ice Rink" event, which aims to encourage residents and visitors to enjoy active outdoor recreation. From 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM, the park's skating rinks will be free; you'll only have to pay for skate and protective equipment rental.
This year, the theme of the event, also known as "Night of Champions," will be the victories of Russian participants at the Pyeongchang Olympics. According to Interfax, famous athletes are expected to join the Muscovites on the ice. "Night at the Rink" will also feature numerous competitions and contests, including skating races and hockey matches.
The event will take place in Gorky Park, Sokolniki Park, Krasnaya Presnya Park, Fili Park, Babushkinsky Park, Lianozovsky Park, Vorontsovsky Park, Izmailovsky Park, Bauman Garden, Perovsky Park, Hermitage Garden, Druzhby Park, Northern River Terminal Park, Northern Tushino Park, Tagansky Park, and the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve.
