In early 2020, Sheremetyevo International Airport will reintroduce smoking rooms to its transit areas.
"Smoking rooms are planned to return in 2020, but there is no exact date yet," the airport's press service reported, according to RIA Novosti.
As a reminder, the State Duma passed the law on the return of smoking rooms to airport transit areas in its third reading. The law emphasizes that smoking rooms must be invisible to other passengers.
A little later, the Federation Council approved amendments to Article 12 of the Federal Law "On the Protection of Citizens' Health from the Effects of Second-Hand Tobacco Smoke and the Consequences of Tobacco Consumption" regarding the establishment of the possibility of smoking tobacco in specially designated isolated areas of airports.
