Regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported difficult weather conditions in Novorossiysk.

He also noted that a state of emergency would be declared in the city and instructed Novorossiysk Mayor Igor Dyachenko to personally monitor the situation.

They must be prepared to quickly respond to the aftermath of the severe weather. If necessary, we will deploy rescuers and equipment from neighboring municipalities," he wrote.
In addition, Veniamin Kondratyev appealed to city residents to exercise extreme caution and not leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.
