Utair is once again facing bankruptcy: the carrier's counterparty, Flash Light Capital, has filed a lawsuit. According to data posted in the Electronic Justice system, the airline's debt to its partner amounts to 307.8 thousand rubles.

As experts note, despite such a small amount, Flash Light Capital has the right to file for bankruptcy, since, according to the law, a creditor acquires this right if the debt amounts to three hundred thousand rubles and is not repaid within three months.
"An airline may repay its debt before the creditor's claim is considered on the merits, in which case the proceedings will be terminated. However, a bankruptcy petition filed by one creditor may serve as a signal to other creditors, who may also file bankruptcy petitions within the existing proceedings," noted Pavel Rusetsky, head of RBS's legal practice.
It should be added that in December 2018, Utair airline defaulted on its bond coupon payment.
