Baros Maldives has been named the Indian Ocean's Most Romantic Resort in 2017.
The resort was awarded the World Travel Award at a gala ceremony held in the Maldives this year.
In front of an audience of representatives from the world's leading hotels and international tourism Media, the Baros Maldives team was presented with the prestigious regional World Travel Award.
The World Travel Awards are voted by travel and tourism professionals and Baros Maldives has won the international award for the third year in a row.
Baros Maldives' victory allows the hotel's team to participate in the world championship for the title of the most romantic resort of 2017.

The German couple first visited Baros Maldives in 1984, where they say they felt like Robinson Crusoe for the first time on the romantic island resort.
More than 30 years ago, they enjoyed rustic accommodation. Although the shower only had cold water and breakfast consisted of toast with butter, jam and coffee, they fell in love with Baros Maldives for its pristine natural look. Now, the German pensioner couple highly appreciates the great transformation of the island. And they note that the arrival of 21st century civilization has not affected the ecology of Baros Maldives in any way.
“When we first stayed at Baros,” Mr. Munich said, “we were young and looking for adventure. We look forward to returning soon for our 56th visit.”
