
Only a few days remain until the start of Germany's most famous beer festival, Oktoberfest, in Munich. The city's mayor will officially open the festivities on September 16th. Of course, many won't be able to attend this grand event. However, beer festivals will be held this fall. only in Germany.
Moscow will also celebrate its own Oktoberfest. You can enjoy beer and traditional German delicacies from September 14th to 16th on the grounds of the German Embassy in Moscow. The festivities will include a ceremonial opening of a beer keg, a performance by Bavarian musicians, beer presentations, and a festival lottery. A ticket for this event, which includes drinks and treats, costs 6,000 rubles.
Interestingly, Oktoberfest will also be celebrated in Vietnam. The beer festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City at the Hotel Nikko Saigon from September 21st to 23rd, and in Hanoi from October 5th to 7th at the JW Marriott Hotel. Once again, the main highlight will be traditional Bavarian style, from German beer and snacks to a folklore program. Around 8,000 guests are expected to attend the festival. Three-day tickets are available starting at 1.4 million Vietnamese dong (approximately 3,600 rubles).
From October 27th to 29th, a dark beer festival will take place in Amsterdam. In the vast hall of the Berlage Stock Exchange building, beer lovers will be able to sample products from not only global brands but also small family-run businesses. Visitors will be treated to over 50 brands of the hoppy beverage, including varieties with fruit infusions and various exotic additives. The festival will be accompanied by music performed by local musicians. Tickets cost €10, and a glass of beer will cost €2.
In Antwerp, beer connoisseurs are invited to the Modeste festival from September 30th to October 1st. Here, you can sample not only drinks from local breweries but also farmhouse cheese from renowned cheesemaker Michel Van Tricht. The program also includes a brass band parade, a beer parade, and the "Queen of Hops" competition.
One of the oldest and largest beer festivals in the Czech Republic will take place in Pilsen on October 7th. The crowded feast will take place on the main city square and on the grounds of the Pilsner Urquel brewery. At the first venue, visitors will be introduced to the history of this legendary brewery. Everyone will be able to dress in historical costumes and participate in the process of creating beer using ancient recipes. At the Pilsen brewery, there will be bartending competitions and brewery tours. Of course, no Czech festival would be complete without entertainment and performances by local musicians.
