Turkish all-inclusive in hotels turned out to be cheaper than Russian ones based on the results of the summer months of 2018. Such data is provided by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
Experts analyzed the cost of tours lasting 7-10 nights for two adults to Turkey, Crimea and Krasnodar region in hotels of 3*, 4*, 5* categories. At the same time, the average prices for all hotels without taking into account the type of food and the average prices for hotels with all-inclusive meals were separately studied. It turned out that tours to Russian 3* hotels in the southern direction without taking into account the food system are cheaper than tours to similar facilities in Turkey. The most significant difference - almost two times - was revealed in June. Throughout the summer, the cost of staying in 3-star hotels in Turkey was higher from 88% to 27% than in Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory. The average cost of tours to Russian resorts in 3* hotels was 30-40 thousand rubles, while Turkish ones offered a vacation at a price of 55-60 thousand.
At the same time, holidays in Turkish 3* hotels with an all-inclusive meal plan turned out to be significantly cheaper throughout the summer. All-inclusive tours to Turkey cost an average of 55-68 thousand rubles, and to Krasnodar Krai and Crimea 59-70 thousand and 66-75 thousand, respectively.
As for holidays in 4-star hotels without taking into account the meal plan, the most profitable one was again in Krasnodar Krai. Average prices were 52-65 thousand rubles. 4* hotels in Crimea were quite comparable with Turkish ones. Prices at Crimean resorts varied throughout the summer from 56 to 86 thousand rubles, at Turkish ones - from 59 to 74 thousand rubles. Comparing the average cost of tours to 4* facilities with the all-inclusive meal plan, you can see that Turkish "fours" from June to August were cheaper than their counterparts in Krasnodar Krai and Crimea. The difference reached its maximum gap in the last summer month. If holidays in Turkey in August were almost 76 thousand rubles, then in Krasnodar Krai - almost 97 thousand rubles, and in Crimea - 131 thousand.
According to the study, tours to five-star hotels were more profitable in Turkey. For example, an all-inclusive vacation at Turkish resorts in August cost 133 thousand rubles, while Crimean resorts cost Russians 197 thousand rubles. The average price for a 5-star hotel in Krasnodar Krai was 209 thousand rubles per tour.
It can be concluded that the higher the hotel category, the more profitable it is for a tourist to choose a Turkish destination rather than a Russian one. According to experts, the main factors of such an advantage are the availability of hotels with a large number of rooms and the climate, which allows Turkey to start the swimming season in April and end it in November. At Russian resorts, the season is limited to the period from the end of May to mid-September.
