Its experts found that the average American family begins planning their vacation 6 months in advance. And 8 out of 10 families go through three key stages: searching for a destination, comparing prices, and making the final booking.
In addition, experts have identified the 10 most important activities that most parents engage in before a family trip. First, it is studying photos of future vacation spots. Second, it is analyzing the weather forecast at the resort. The third most important is insuring family members before traveling.
Other important tasks also included: tracking the departure time on the online board, updating your wardrobe, studying the area adjacent to the accommodation, monitoring exchange rates and directly exchanging currency, submitting documents for a visa, discussing trip details with family members.
The association's experts also came to the conclusion that during preparation for a family vacation, work and daily routines fade into the background for both mothers and fathers. Family values become the highest priority during this period.
