Emirates Airlines has launched a third daily flight on the Dubai-Moscow route. As the carrier's press service reported to the TRN portal, this decision was made in connection with the growing passenger flow to the UAE from Russia.
“Emirates has been operating flights to Russia since 2003 and carried 5.5 million passengers during this period. The airline has launched a new third route to provide air connectivity for international tourism and trade. The new route will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER and will offer 360 additional seats,” the company said.
Flight EK174 will depart Domodedovo at 10:40am and land in Dubai at 4:55pm, giving travellers the opportunity to discover Dubai in comfortable, cool weather immediately upon arrival. The return flight EK173 will depart Dubai at 3:30am and arrive in Moscow at 7:50am.
“25 October is a special day for Emirates. Today we launched our third flight to Domodedovo, and this evening we will welcome the first ever A380 flight to Pulkovo Airport in St Petersburg. This demonstrates the growing demand for travel in the Russian market and strengthens Russia’s position as a strategically important and valuable market for Emirates. We are very grateful to Domodedovo, as the successful launch of this new flight was made possible, in part, by the airport’s investment in the development of passenger infrastructure. This year, on 1 July, Emirates will celebrate 15 years of flights to Moscow Domodedovo Airport and it is worth noting that during this period the airport has proven its reliability as a partner,” said Vadim Besperstov, Emirates Director in Russia and the CIS.
The flight schedule will provide new convenient connections in Dubai for return flights to Moscow to a number of popular destinations on the Emirates and flydubai joint network, including Bali, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Kathmandu, Colombo, Kuala Lumpur, Mauritius, Maldives and Singapore. In addition, the new flight will offer additional connections at Domodedovo to the extensive network of domestic flights operated by S7 Airlines, Emirates’ codeshare partner in Russia.
