Traditionally, during the holidays, the Chinese capital hosted many colorful events that attracted tourists. This year, the authorities, fearing the further spread of the 2019-nCoV virus, canceled the celebration, Interfax writes.
According to the latest data, more than 630 people have been infected with the virus, 17 of whom have died. Cases of the disease have already been recorded in Thailand, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. The Chinese cities of Huanggang and Wuhan, where the largest number of victims of the virus have been recorded, are closed for entry and exit.
