Aeroflot has begun the final stage of transferring flights to Sheremetyevo-1 (B)

Aeroflot continues to transfer domestic flights from Sheremetyevo Terminal 3 (D) to the new Sheremetyevo Terminal 1 (B). The transfer of Airbus-operated flights began in early October, according to Travel.ru.

Until now, only domestic flights operated by Superjet 100, Boeing 737, and Boeing 777 aircraft have departed from the new terminal. The Airbus fleet—Aeroflot's largest brand—has remained in the old terminal. It is now scheduled to be transferred to the new terminal within the next three and a half weeks.

The transition will be gradual; it currently affects approximately a third of all Airbus flights, covering several dozen routes. Passengers on all domestic routes should carefully check their departure terminal before traveling to the airport and allow sufficient time to reach the correct terminal.

As a reminder, Sheremetyevo Terminal 1 (B) is connected to the other terminals and the Aeroexpress station by an underground shuttle, which adds 5-15 minutes to the usual travel time (and last Sunday, the shuttle was completely out of service for several hours due to a malfunction). You can also take bus 851 along Leningradskoe and Sheremetyevskoe Highways, or bus 817 and minibuses 949 and 948 along Leningradskoe and Mezhdunarodnoe Highways via the other terminals. Thirdly, you can take buses or minibuses 21 and 48 from Lobnya station. Since June 30, bus 817 has reopened the "Police" stop—from here, you can access Terminal 1 (B) via a multi-story parking garage and a walkway.

The transition of all Aeroflot domestic flights is scheduled to be completed by October 28, the start date of the winter schedule. However, even after October 28, Aeroflot-coded flights operated by subsidiary Rossiya Airlines to the Far East, several cities in the south of the country, and Orenburg will still be operating at Sheremetyevo Terminal 3 (D). All such flights will open (or be transferred from Vnukovo) on October 28. Nordwind Airlines, Pegasfly, and Ural Airlines domestic flights will also remain at the same terminal.
