Representatives of the tourism business assessed the prospects for the return to the market of the dynamic packaging system Nateknia within the framework of the project "New Travelers", previously part of "Natalie Tours". According to experts, there is simply no alternative to this service in Russia at the moment, However, agencies are unlikely to be ready to immediately start working with a new tour operator.
As the portal "Travel Russian News" has learned, the project "New Travelers", previously owned by "Natalie Tours", will be launched in the next few days. The day before, this topic began to be actively discussed in social networks, where market representatives expressed their ambiguous opinions regarding the prospects of the new player.
Let us recall that the Nateknia booking system was launched by the tour operator Natalie Tours in March 2016. Thanks to this project, agencies were able to instantly receive information from host companies about the availability of hotel rooms, their cost, and transfers. In turn, integration with Amadeus allowed them to find out the cost of transportation tariffs almost instantly. “Within 20-30 seconds, a dynamic package was obtained, which agencies could independently change depending on the wishes of tourists. By connecting this system, the company could reduce the number of employees who did all this manually. This was convenient for both the tour operator and the agencies,” one of the experts told Travel Russian News.
According to representatives of the travel industry, the launch of “New Travelers” based on Nateknia may well prove successful in the B2C segment.
"Considering the damaged reputation of the former owner of Nateknia, it will be quite difficult for the new management of New Travelers to conduct sales through this system. Of course, Nateknia has no equal, and there are no alternatives. It was very convenient. However, the fact that the tour operator Natalie Tours did not fulfill its obligations to tourists, agencies and partners does not allow us to say that agencies will work with New Travelers in the near future. But with tourists, everything is simpler, since in most cases they do not know the cause-and-effect relationships. And with large investments in advertising, I think they will be able to reach direct clients," said Diana Ferdman, head of the travel company "Belmare".
"According to my information, Natalie Tours sold the engine, that is, the Nateknia dynamic packaging system, the development of which took several years and several million dollars. There are no alternatives on the market now. And if the new owners of this system approach its positioning well, and the agencies get answers to all their questions, the project will be successful," noted Anton Goralchuk, a well-known expert in the travel agency business.
P.S. The New Travelers website launched on the evening of October 2. At the moment, the tour operator's lineup includes 12 destinations: Hungary, Germany, Indonesia, Cuba, Mauritius, Maldives, Mexico, Seychelles, Thailand, France, Czech Republic, Sri Lanka.
