The tour operator "Pearl River" reported that it will not be able to fulfill the entire previously announced charter program to Haikou from five cities of the Russian Federation. The day before to the editor TRN The company has received an appeal from representatives of the tourism industry, which explains the situation with the charter transportation to the Chinese island of Hainan (China).
"Despite the efforts made, we can state that it is currently impossible to ensure the execution of a charter program simultaneously from five cities in the Russian Federation to the city of Haikou (Hainan Island). Even having solved the problem of obtaining permission from the Chinese side, we encountered restrictions from Russian regulatory authorities.
In this regard, a decision has been made to reduce the flight program during the winter navigation period. From January 26 to March 23, 2018, only the weekly Moscow-Haikou-Moscow flight will be operated. Other flights will not be operated during this period. Refunds will be made for paid tours. It is also possible to rebook from regional flights to a flight from Moscow. In this case, the cost of the tour from Moscow will be reduced by the amount of the cost of the flight to Moscow, in order to avoid an increase in the cost of the trip for those who previously booked tours," the tour operator said in a statement.
The company also stated that the previously announced flight program from St. Petersburg, Kazan, Ufa, Tyumen, Rostov-on-Don and Chelyabinsk will be carried out after the end of winter navigation and upon receipt of all necessary permits by the carrier after March 23, 2018.
As we reported earlier, at the end of December all flights of the tour operator "Pearl River" to Hainan Island were cancelled. The company's management promised to replace the cancelled trips with tours to Vietnam, however only two flights departed in this direction from St. Petersburg and Moscow.
Later, the company announced that it would definitely fly to Hainan from January 11, 2018, and that all documents for the flight program with China were already ready.
