Despite the fact that the first news about the coronavirus came from China, it was this country that was the first to begin to emerge from the crisis. As Evgeny Glotov, head of the marketing department of the tour operator China Travel, told the TRN portal on the sidelines of the Intourmarket exhibition, many Attractions in the country are operating normally again, and carriers are already making plans for the coming months.
"Yesterday there was news that all hospitals opened specifically for the sick were closed in Wuhan - all of them have already been discharged. Our partners also informed us that Hainan Airlines intends to resume flights on the Moscow-Beijing route at the end of March. Moreover, we are already seeing tickets for direct flights to Haikou on sale. Air China is also preparing to resume flights to Russia," he said, emphasizing that top tourist attractions are already open, such as Zhangjiajie National Park, Suzhou Park, Terracotta Army, Guilin, etc.
According to Evgeny Glotov, business is already starting to operate normally in Hainan, which is popular among Russian tourists, but the tourism sector is still on pause. "As soon as the situation stabilizes, China will very quickly be ready to receive tourists again. But the problem is whether the restrictions will be lifted by Russia," the expert explained.
"Of course, we count on support from the Chinese authorities, including subsidies. For our part, we also plan to start promoting the destination immediately after the opening," added the representative of China Travel.
Speaking about the forecasts in general, the expert emphasized that China has made huge efforts to combat the coronavirus, thanks to which the destination has every chance of opening quite soon. "We have every reason to believe that China will be one of the first to cope with the coronavirus. No other country could do the work they did. The Chinese did not go anywhere, everyone followed the rules, many did not leave their homes, their discipline deserves respect, hence the result," concluded Evgeny Glotov.
Let us add that at the Intourmarket exhibition, China was represented at a large stand, where visitors could write words of support on a special poster - there were many who wanted to do so.
