In 2018, direct flights were launched between Israel and Sochi, which has brought over 40,000 Israelis to Krasnaya Polyana's gambling establishments. The boundaries of the gambling zone were defined within the land plots allocated for the construction of federal Olympic venues. The all-season mountain resort of Gorki Gorod became the center and primary location of the gambling zone; part of the Rosa Khutor resort is also within the gambling zone's boundaries.
