AccorHotels has opened a new Mercure hotel in the Maldives, Travel.ru reports. It is located on Gaafu Alif Atoll, a 55-minute seaplane ride south of Male International Airport.
Mercure Maldives Kooddoo offers 68 villas, 43 of which are overwater and 25 of which are beachfront. Twenty of the villas have private 3x6 meter pools.
Guests can enjoy the Alita Restaurant and Bar, which serves Pan-Asian cuisine all day, and Vistas, an overwater venue.
The hotel also features a 50-meter swimming pool, a kids' club, tennis and badminton courts, and a fully equipped fitness center. Guests can also take advantage of the PADI diving and watersports center, located a 10-minute boat ride away.
The cost of accommodation at the four-star Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort starts from $280 per night.
